If you have one in mind, then just put down the style you want to use.
If you don't know yet, then put Undecided (but you'll have to find one soon)
If you don't care, then just say Random and I'll just find a random one for you.

1.) Your poem must adhere to the style you choose and you must contact me beforehand to let me know what style you wish to use.
2.) The poem must still have the poetic devices, metaphor and so forth. I will be enforcing this one.
3.) No popular poetry styles allowed. Find an obscure one. This rules out the following:
Free verse (don't be tempted)
Blank verse (common believe it or not)
Spoken word (popular)
Any open verse (popular)
Any open shape poetry (popular)
Any open abstract poetry (popular)
Haikus (already was a contest for these)
Senryus (too much like haikus)
Triolets (popular)
Villanelles (popular)
Cinquains (popular)
Sestinas (popular)
Limericks (overly popular)
Ballads (somewhat popular)
Shakespearean Sonnets (popular)
Petrarchian Sonnets (popular)
Basic Sonnets (popular as well)
Acrostic Haikus (there was a contest earlier for these)
Songs (any common style of song is also popular)
Or any other common style
4.) Coronas (crowns or daisy rings) are an acceptable way to utilize common styles in new and more challenging ways. If you want to do a familiar style, then do a corona. Though coronas only work for fixed styles (so free verse, blank verse, and open verse are still out of the question as they don't work with coronas).
5.) Remember, you must report to me to sign up. I want to make sure I know what everyone is doing so I can clear up if their chosen style is valid in this contest. It will keep things neat and I will know when everyone is done so I can end the contest and start judging.
6.) Contestants need to just sign up. I don't care your skill level. Nor do I care your status and education level.
I hope this contest runs smoothly and I hope that everyone has a good time and really learns something from this.
Leave your sign-up on this journal. And remember to send a note with your poem to this account. You should also mention what style you used in the poem.

I don't care what those NaruSaku fans say. There's no rule saying we can't like it at least.
